Doug is a seasoned oil & gas professional who has served in various leadership and technical capacities in the energy industry beginning some 40 plus years ago with Quintana Petroleum Corporation. It was his time with Quintana that the definition and importance of being a prudent operator was established. 

Doug has expertise in executive management/engineering in private equity based exploration and production companies including as the Founder and CEO of an operator of 500+ wells in the Texas Panhandle.  Through the years, Doug has worked on projects in plays and basins in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, California, Oregon and Ohio in the Lower 48 USA, and abroad in Egypt, Russia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.  A petroleum engineer, Doug has built a firm understanding of upstream oil & gas production, drilling, field operations, reservoir engineering and the evaluation of oil and gas properties, alongside foreign and domestic experience in deal structuring, finance, budgeting and technical expertise.

Doug believes that the prudent oil and gas operator has a corporate responsibility to “clean up after ourselves” while balancing the economic realities of the industry.  By leveraging financial incentives like carbon credits, operators can use these incentives to effectively plug abandoned wells and improve land restoration while ensuring compliance with state regulations.
